Meat saves sick “vegetarian” kitty

A VEGETARIAN kitten close to death was brought back to life on a diet of fresh meat.

The violently ill kitty, which had been living on potatoes, rice milk and pasta was unconscious when his vegan owners took him

to hospital.

The sick animal spent three days in the Lort Smith Animal Hospital in Melbourne, Australia, where he was given intravenous

fluids, placed on a heat pad and fed plenty of meat.

Dr. Leanne Pinfold who nursed the kitten said: “It was extremely weak and collapsed when it came in.

“It was almost non-responsive.

“You can’t force your ideology on the cat.

“Carnivores will seek out meat and your cat is possibly more likely to go hunting and kill local native fauna if you deprive it of meat.”

Veterinarians in Australia are warning pet owners not to force ideologies on their pets.

They say the idea of turning a meat-loving cat into a pretentious vegan is simply dangerous and cruel to the animal.
