Animal rights activists target diners in Oxford

ANIMAL rights activists wearing Guy Fawkes masks targeted diners outside a McDonald’s fast food restaurant.

The group called Anonymous for the Voiceless played upsetting videos of alleged animal cruelty outside the fast food restaurant in Oxford, UK.

The silent protest upset some diners who thought activists dressed in black and wearing the Guy Fawkes masks gave the protest an ugly anarchic edge.

One said: “This is ridiculous and upsetting.

“Animal rights activists should hire a church hall and have a meeting there but don’t disrupt families trying to have a nice day out. it’s not on.

“It was a blatant attempt to put people off their food.”

The footage shown on tablets as diners entered the restaurant included livestock slaughter and the milking of cows.

Organisers denied that the protest was aimed at the fast food chain alone.

They aimed to persuade passersby to stop eating meat meat and dairy products.
