Activists get their facts wrong – again!

CIRCUS chiefs have defied activists who tried to shut them down.

Performances at The Circus Mondao went ahead as normal after activists called on the public to boycott the show.

Animal Defenders International (ADI) had said the circus used wild animals in its acts putting their welfare at risk.

But the circus, which was performing in Bolton, England, pointed out the only animals in the show were trained horses.

Petra Jackson, the ring mistress at the circus, said: “The only animals we use are horses.

“We are fully licensed and regulated and receive regular inspections.”

She said that the people of Bolton love the circus and everyone should go along to make their own decision.

The shows run from July 26 to August 6.

Tickets are available on the day of the shows.
