Activists accused of cowardice after bombarding restaurant with fake food orders

ANIMAL rights activists have targeted a restaurant by making dozens of bogus takeaway orders because owner Tim Metcalf hunts wild game.

ANIMAL rights activists have targeted a restaurant by making dozens of bogus takeaway orders.

After delaying collection of the meals they then rang back and and cancelled the orders.

They targeted three Deano’s pizza restaurants in the Lafayette area of Louisiana, USA, because owner Tim Metcalf’s hobby is game hunting.

Mr Metcalf said the actions were cowardly.

He said:

“So it seems some ‘people’ – I use that term loosely – have been calling in pizzas at my restaurants, waiting until they’re made and calling back saying ‘I won’t be picking up that Pizza because Tim hunts exotic animals!’

“Wow you use an illegal activity to protest my Legal activities?

“That goes a long way to show what type of person you are and really degrades your ‘cause’.

“If you have a problem with my legal hobby we can discuss it like adults here or in person or you can lobby to change laws.

“The way you’re doing it is very cowardly!”
